Women coming together working toward a common goal are a powerful force. Since 1921, the JLSC has been that force of change in the Siouxland community, providing hundreds of women the opportunity to gain valuable training through a variety of learning experiences. JLSC members have the chance to explore new areas of interest, experiencing growth through the acceptance of leadership roles, learning to manage and train volunteers, taking risks, experiencing success and failure and benefiting from both experiences, mentoring and being mentored. Members apply these learned skills not only within League in the many community projects and work done by the organization, but also beyond League in their work with other organizations or in their professional careers.

You too can make a difference by joining the JLSC. The organization welcomes any woman, 21 years of age or older, who is committed to volunteering and serving the community. As a member you will meet many life-long friends, have the opportunity to train in a variety of areas for personal and professional growth, and above all give back to your community by participating in a meaningful volunteer effort.
